Starting in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 25th, 1862 the battle that would become a major victory in Maj. Gen. Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson’s Valley campaign began as a series of skirmishes and ended in the route of the Union Army from the Shenandoah Valley.
